it has to be the run-flats. i recently put 20" rims on my car with low-profile tires and expected a harsher ride than i had before with the run-flats. believe it or not, the 20's are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay smoother. it was unbelievable. once the 20's come off for winter
the run-flats will be coming off the stock 17's.

I know that the 2008 GS350 AWD came with 17" non-run-flat summer tires (Dunlop SP2050 in 225/50R17), at least here in Ontario where the OP is located. (OP: Why does your "Location" say "NY"?)

My location is Ontario and the car is a 2009 and the tires say Dunlop Sport.
I initially looked at the ES350 at first but I decided to pony up for the GS as I liked the look of it more as the ES350 was a bit too plain. All is well with the car thus far as I am still getting used to it.
