Default 245/35/20 & 285/30/20 & driving long distance

What up fellas...I'm currently in the military, stationed down in sunny San Diego. I scheduled to transfer up to N.Cali (Sacramento area). Would it be safe to drive on my aftermarket rims and tires? The drive is approx. 500 miles. This would be a one-way drive. My tires only have approx. 1,500 miles on them. I would put the OEM rims and tires on them, but they're on the way to Sacramento with the movers...(stupid me). Any advice is greatly appreciated.

You will be more than fine, enjoy the ride and thank you for your service.

While your wheels are low profile they are fine for short/long distances as they still have to meet regulations. The main drawback is you will have less mileage with lower profile tires before you need to replace them.

will be no problem. I frequently do 4-700 miles trips in my GS and I am on lower pro tires than you are set up on. Keep your tire pressures up at 40-42 to keep the rims safe on the bumpy LA freeways

to make you feel safe, my gs400, sc430, gs350, and ls460l all have 20s/22s and i go back and forth so often never a problem just make sure you check the tire pressure before you leave

do you have any rubbing problems? that tire/wheel setup is 1" bigger in diamter than spec. just curious, because those staggered setups are exactly equal in size...which would be perfect for my AWD setup.

are you lowered also? if I lowered mine on NF210 and went with your size wheels/tires...would there be any problems?

thanks

No rubbing issues at all. However, I have not lowered my GS yet. I cannot decide between springs and coilovers.
