Default GS350 vs. GS350AWD vs. GS460

I am in ther market for a new Lexus. My lease IS350, by the way the most exiciting car I have ever had, is coming up for expiration. I really wanted a GS460 but that seems to be a mythical beast like the Yetti as no Lexus dealer has this car in stock or can get one for me. My next choice is the GS350RWD but as I live in the northeast it looks like my chances of getting one of these is also close to 0%. Finally there is the GS350AWD. Can this car be had with the 18" wheels and summer tires? Why does Lexus make it so difficult to get what I want? BMW will order me a car exactly the way I like it but Lexus seems to have better quality and custgomer service so I would prefer to stay with them. Can anyone let me know if the GS350AWD loses anything in terms of performance or ride quality to the RWD version? Also I hear these cars are selling for invoice these days. Are there good deals to be had? Finally, does Lexus have an early lease termination program so I could turn in the IS350 before the due date?

Thanks

yes there are deals to be had. you may need to look out of state to find them. if you plan on modding your car, you should stick with RWD. there are some people here with vibration problems when lowered on springs for AWD.

^^ agreed with above

if you really want a RWD GS, just because you live in the NE region of the country doesnt mean you cant get one. There are 2 people from the NE region that i know of that have flown down to GA to get a RWD GS. If you really want a RWD, you need to look far away but they are out there if your willing to take a one way trip to bring one back.

If you are leasing, I would order the BMW.
BMW lets u custom order the car to ur specs with options and color combos u want. Plus Lexus leases are way more $$$$ than a comparable BMW.

If u are buying, then go out of state to get the GS u want.

Lexus is losing customers bec of their limited selection process, this may be why the GS sells so badly. Im not sure why it doesnt allow customers to custom order their cars like BMW.

^^ It's probably not worth the money lost (compared to customers gained) on such a low volume car like the GS.
You can usually get what you want easily on the RX/IS due to the volume produced.

This is what I have bveen saying for over a year now as I have been contemplating my next vehicle choice. Lexus customer service may be the tops, but their selection process is the absolute worst. I can't believe that are going to force me to go to another brand because they are unwilling to deliver what I want.
