this is a car enthusiast site, of course we all know this stuff (to varying degrees). just hang out with us, ask enough questions, and very soon you'll know as much as we do (if not more)

If you use your car as a daily driver, I would not use spacers.....I would have bought the right size/offset wheels.

hmm, I really don't drive it much, only occasionally and for short trips , few miles. I know I might have messed up, but why do you not recommend spacers now? Not even the hubcentric ones? I don't have to do it but many believe that it will make it look better once the wheels are a bit out.

but +38 is common isn't it? Why are you assuming the size is wrong?

yes 38mm is common. What Mark is saying is that if you wanted your wheels to be out more, you should have gone with a different offset in the rear. Only time you really have a choice to do that is when your getting your wheel custom made to the offsets you like. Most companies already have wheels made, boxed and ready to go.

This guy has a red 3GS with black rotor hats and calipers without loud sticker color. Pretty much the same recommendation I made to you. I think it looks good, but that is just my opinion.

They should be able to paint the hats without any problems when you get the calipers painted.

You should have your husband try and paint the calipers and rotors. I did mine in less than a day. Picked up the paint at Pep Boys.

Just a thought.
