Default Brake Dust TSB Questions

Hey guys... I just bought an 06 430 and noticed a lot of brake dust.. is there a requirement of how much brake pad is left in order for them to do it???

i don't think there is a requirement on the amount of pad left

I was told by the dealer to wait until it is time to replace them so I can get one brake change for free....

i called the dealer and they said it would cost $59 for the brake inspection.

crap.. it looks like they will only repair it if you are still under warranty. i am 3k miles over my warranty!!!! lame..

yeah, I thought I remember seeing that you had to be under 50K miles...or within the warranty period.

yeah i sent an email to the service manager to let him know whats going on. Hopefully they will be nice enough to help me out.

well.. i spoke to the service manager at the dealer they wont do it. apparently you have to be under warranty and also have 70% life left on the brakes.. oh well. time to swap it out for some Hawks.
