Default Need some rotors advice.

I guess many of you have advised against a dust shield and after I saw some pics, they turned out to be ugly. I am just looking for some drilled rotors instead now. I don't like slotted/drilled, just drilled and will paint the calipers then. The BREMBO kit of $2400 is ridiculous. I just need me some rotors and pads. Who or where do I get them? Don't tell me AutoZone.

you can get the rotors and pad from any of the approved CL vendors here. tell them what you want, and see what brand they recommend.

Yeah I believe I saw some for sale by a vendor in the vendors forum.....OEM size rotors I think they were around $250 or so....but don't quote me on that

^ yup, good point. in fact, if she has AWD, then getting oem size drilled rotors may not be possible. if i remember correctly, most oem size drilled rotors are for RWD applications, not AWD. she might be out of luck...

its almost time for me to replace my fronts....i'm thinking of getting some slotted ones from EBC i believe..and use stock pads...apart from the dust i think my brakes work very well....I'm afraid to try something different because so many different outcomes.....and i remember a while back...with drilled rotors they have the tendency of getting hairline cracks spreading from hole to hole....big brake kits are not needed unless your going for looks and are gonna be taking your GS for some autocross...lol

Cliffnotes: Sticking with OEM pads and stock or slotted rotors. I rather have dust and be able to stop.

I was out all day. Thanks you guys. Yes I have AWD, and I will look up in some of the CL forums and see. If I can't get them drilled then am keeping mine. This is the only reason am changing them so I can have the drilled rotors look and then paint the calipers and get it over with.
