There were tons of tiny changes as well...ie. someone mentioned a TSB that could potentially flood your car (AC drain clogging?). I can't recall the others, but there are definitely a few more TSBs that the 07+ does not have. I believe they improved some body integrity issues in the 07+ as well (where body integrity = Seals, weather stripping, loose interior trim, air and water leaks, wind noise, rattles and squeaks)

I was back in forth between the 2 cars too. Just didn't know if the extra money was worth the extra power blah blah blah.

Bottom line is get the 350. So glad I held out for it. The 350 is not super fast but compared to the 300 its like night and day.

Also the big brakes are really nice. Stop on a dime.

I test drove both cars twice and the 2nd time I drove the 300 I new that I was going to get the 350.

Indeed, please do a search, this has been discussed in detail. Jasen pretty much answered your question.

I believe 98% of any topic relating to any generation GS has already been discussed. Therefore 98% of the threads on this board should be read only. Yea...that's the ticket!

Because the OP will get a much more comprehensive answer by doing a search and be able to make a more informed decision

The 3.5L engine is light years ahead of the 3.0L, why would anyone even consider the 3.0L engine anymore is beyond me.

The 3.5L is a gem since its debut in Japan right from the start of the 3G. Thereafter the US and 1-2 selected Asian countries got it. I just cannot get it why the Lexus HQ still sticks to selling only the 3.0L for the rest of the world including all of Europe and most of Asia. With new extremely tight CO2 emission regulations approved by the EU recently I'm afraid Lexus will not change its policy any time soon. ... although I think the emissions (= fuel consumption) of GS300 and GS350 are not too far apart from each.

I wish I had a 350..

I couldn't pass up the price on my 300 tho, they practically gave it to me.

Brakes are horrible on the 300.

Thats not true about the mpg is it? If so, then I don't feel so bad about losing some HP

if you get the GS300 you will regret not getting the 58 extra hp for the measly difference in the price f the 2 cars. I would go for the GS350. 245 hp in a car that weigh 3800 lbs is a damn insult and a joke. I cant imagine that Lexus sold a lot of GS300's. That why they needed to drop the real power in on the 2nd year of production
