Default 2009 gs350 seat belt warning

I am a new member just purchased a GS350AWD White/Cashmere. Is there anyway to turn off the seat belt warning chimes? I saw the one tip but it is from 2006 (I tried it anyway and it did nothing).

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Mike

Hopefully this will help, assuming 08 and 09's will be the same.

I"m still getting use to it. I just got it last week and I am coming out of a LS460 (my lease was up). I got the white just like my LS and it's surprising how several people I know say it looks like the LS in a smaller version.

I do miss having the 400hp V8

congrats, let me know if you get the seatbelt function working. Im still debating if I want to do it or not, because when someone needs to use my car i want them to not abuse the seat belt law.

Just tried what you sent me and it worked. Now do I have to have someone in the passengers seat and do the same thing or turning it "off" does both.

When I do start the car the chimes ring for 3 or 4 times then shut off. I drove the car with out a seat belt and it works. Just not sure why it chimes at initial start up.

Thanks for the link.

I wear a seat belt all the time its the chimes that get to me like when you are pulling in the garage etc... and you are taking the seat bely off and the chimes are going.

If you put your seat belt on before starting the car, you will not hear any chimes. The chimes at the beginning, I am assuming, is to remind you to put your seat belt on. I don't think it really has that effect anymore since I tune that chime out all the time (as do most people I would think).

The chimes that come through when you're driving with your belt off... That one is a bit more noticable.

And for the record, I always drive with my seat belt on. It'd be foolish not to.
