sweet! can't wait to see the stance with the coils installed. congrats, though six weeks seems awful long for getting the fenders rolled...lol. sorry to hear about the damage; hopefully all worked out well.

yea, i was being a little bit facetious. lol. glad it worked out in the end, though the frustration must not have been worth it. did you ultimately decide to shave the fenders instead? glad you have your ride back.

Default Is the chrome window trim removeable?

If it is, I want to get it powdercoated. Does anyone know? Like many, I hate the chrome trim as it takes away from the smooth lines of the windows. I can do the vinyl wrap, but I was told that it would expand over time. Therefore, I don't want to deal with it.

I want it done in a gloss black like this G35:

wow that g looks great. But i suggest you vinyl it first, then if you like it, when the vinyl expands, paint it.

I checked into it and its going to be hard to paint. not that it cant be done...but I think I am going to try the black tape as they have in the ISF thread and see how it holds up. my worry is the rear door where its larger...they may need to overlap in that area?

maybe someone else has a better idea but I am with you on this

I like the chrome trim around the window personally. I think it makes the car look more high end. This sounds like trendy stuff that will look dated sooner than later

Not to me. Looks cheap to me. The biggest pet peeve of this car was all the chrome, the grill, headlight, window and lower door sill. A lot of BMW guys use vinyl to cover their chrome up. It's overly done on this car.

I like the gloss piano black look on the windows. I'm not into the murdered out it, but it's much more subtle than chrome.

Didn't even notice that till you mentioned it. At first I thought it was a reversed image but the gas door is on the correct side so that rules that out.
