Previous owner of my GS300 removed the Lexus and GS300 emblems from the trunk lid. Left the holes there. I for one don't give a flip what others think in terms of if it's a 300, 350, 430, etc. I am glad the holes were there. Made the installation of new emblems very easy. They were $25 each from the dealer. Btw, kudos to those who have their emblems still on. It helped me figure out what models I was looking at on the highway during my commute when I was car shopping

I am taking mine off. I just got an extra full set of all them emblems just in case yesterday for this reason. Weird thing is that they dont have tabs on them?? so they must have sent me the 2gen GS430 badges?? I was hoping when I opened them up that just maybe we wouldnt have the holes like the 2IS.

Has anyone taken off the L circle emblem on the trunk. I was told its not smooth there? They molded/pressed the metal so its almost like there is a emblem there already. I am okay with leaving this one but would much rather having nothing.

machine time to add in those holes at almost perfect accurate locations by computers are very minimal and cost almost nothing extra

and now the ability for workers to spent say only 4 seconds to put on the emblem and badges instead of the old (say) 8 seconds to put them on, that's 50% improvement.
