Coilovers are a good bet not just for performance benefits but cheaper install prices..since its a whole unit they just drop it in.....No compressing the springs individually..

Someone correct me if I am wrong but I'm sure that correct

your correct, if you get a fully assembled set, it should be cheaper to install since all your doing is swapping corners instead of disassebmling a whole strut and spring.

dj - bumperplugs.com have what you need, but at 25 a pair. this sucks for me as i have 4 holes that the dealer felt they had to drill into my bumper. i've found them cheaper elsewhere, but they don't offer all of the lexus colors as bumperplugs.com does. i don't mind spending a little $$, but that's a lot for a few pieces of plastic IMO. also - my mechanic works at the local toyota dealership; toyota certified master mechanic with 16yrs at this dealer. he is doing the coilover install for 125, and says it should be no more than an hour per corner.

ha. $25 for plugs is a rip off. and $9 shipping for something so small and light is an even bigger outrage.

as long as the color is approximately right, buy the cheapest plugs you can find.

the holes are small enough not to notice slight color shade differences.

you can get lexus touch up paint for like $8. you can match the plug color yourself.

lol. good point. i would love just to fill the hole and be done with it - need to paint the front end anyway. the genius who owned my car before me did not put on the clear film, so pits are everywhere.

if you put CF on the pillars, you're making the same mistake, but in a different flavor.

your roof is glossy? black. the pillars should match.

if you had a CF roof overlay, then you could do a CF B pillar....... though i still think CF does not belong on this car.

again, too many themes at once.

I think the stock look for the pillars is better, they were black for a reason.

like i said before. if you want the CF theme, do it completely. Don't mix the black roof with CF.

CF roof/pillar, F sport theme

dunnojack... you got some serious skillz. I actually was thinking the same thing about the CF pillars. Removing the chrome is fixing the problem and adding CF pillars is just repeating the problem. Bottom line, if it costs less than 150.00 it does not belong on the exterior of your 3GS.

In my opinion: Chrome add-ons = tacky.

In the rare chance chrome (wheels) looks good it would be on a truck/suv.

Your car would look great sans chrome.
