Default Bluetooth Issues

Hey guys, long time lurker here to this wonderful forum. I ran into an issue about three months ago with my 2007 GS450h (still under warranty with only 32k miles on it)...my bluetooth started to make "burping" noises to those on the receiving end of my calls. I have tried multiple phones on this bluetooth devise and the result is the same, the burping sound continues no matter what phone I use. Now, this is a problem for when I am on the road making calls for work and is very frustrating. I have taken it into Lexus three times. This third time, they called me to tell me that they heard the problem with two phones, it's not normal, they haven't heard it before, they called Lexus Corporate (who does not have a fix for it), and therefore cannot fix it! I am beside pissed and have called Lexus corporate to look into it. Has anyone experienced ANYTHING like this before? Any help is appreciated.

Of course they can fix it, the problem is that they just don't want to start replacing things randomly. The disassembly, reinstall, etc., of parts to POSSIBLY solve a problem, has risks to introduce more problems (like rattles, new problems, etc.).

I would keep pressuring them for plan of attack, at least.

Lee,

Exactly. But to just give up and say we can't help you is unacceptable in my opinion. I even told them to just replace the whole damn thing, which they scoffed at. I figure that if I go big, then scale back lower on demands, that might work. But it is frustrating when they just tell you that you are out of luck.

Regards,
Nathan

We're in agreement - they cannot just say "no" when the car is under warranty. They have an obligation to fix the problem. Call corporate for sure, but don't back down. As for scoffing at your suggestion and scaling back, I wouldn't scale back at all!!! Are you dealing with the Service Mangler? Where are you located?

Lee,

Yes, I am dealing with the Assistant Service Manager of Stevens Creek Lexus right now. I am going to push these guys hard.
