he tapped into the puddle lights, so no they would not stay on all the time.

I am sorry, you are right, I should give you more credit for taking on a project like this. BTW, those guys with the street glow on their cars should be shot.

yeah Iocca's right...they dim up and down with the puddle lights so its a pretty classy lighting mod IMO

omg I was hoping this is not this extensive. It looks great. If anything happen to my side mirror I will surely try to do this too when fixing the mirror.

This is pretty slick, and seems about on par with the LED mirrors in terms of difficulty.

What would make this really cool is if the lights were tied into the unlock mechanism ... ie. the handle light only comes on if and when the door is unlocked.

y do U want to do that? He hooked into the puddle light which when come with the keyless it will light up without touching just as the puddle light is right now. I don't like the puddle light much, this is much better.

I like how it ties in with the puddle light too, but would also like only the door handles that are unlocked to light up. If the purpose of the light is to help you find the handle in the dark, what does it matter if the door is locked?

If the purpose of the lights is to look cool, that's different I suppose.

why would u want only the handle that is unlocked to be light up? For me, my door won't be unlock until I touch it and I prefer to light it up for me to see where it is before touching it.

If you want, make a switch at the lock. The puddle light provide the power and the switch at the lock have to be ON also for the light to be ON. It kinda stupid though.

I want looking good + functional + convenient too. If I have my way, my car would drive up and open the door for me to get in like in Batman. LOL

Major respect for this writeup and it looks very nice. Ive seen a few IS puddle light LEDs under the doors which is also a nice touch.
