I think front will rub due to 245/35 and rears will clear, if you shave your fenders. You may be able to roll the rear but due to the design, it may dimple.

I run a 20x9 245/35 offset 32, no rubbing on my 07. I'm on stock suspension though, not dropped yet

For AWD, stock suspension, and no drop, Allen Alvarez from Vossen told me:

"You would run 20x9 ET 38 with 245/35/20 and 20x10.5 ET45 with 275/30/20 with no issues. Plug and play fitment. "

He also said that if I wanted 19", it would be 19x8.5 ET32 and 19x10 ET38.

Would 19" or 20" look better on AWD with no drop?

That is preference, but with zero ride height change- I prefer 20's. I have a rule of thumb for my own personal taste though- I never throw on wheels at all unless I lower the car. Nothing is worse to me than wheel gap when you have a nice set of wheels on any car.. Probably not everyones cup of tea to lower their vehicle, but I like it!

One thing I find strange is that Vossen recommended 245/35/20, but that's 6.7% larger circumference than stock (225/50/17). Isn't that too much difference for AWD?

Those wheels r called Venerdi-zwinger. I like them and tried to find them new but they don't make them anymore so I ended up getting TSW Brooklands. Similar but not the same.

1. Looks like I'll have to go with 19" since there don't seem to be any all-season tires in 20" size (225/35/20, 235/35/20, 265/30/20, 275/30/20). Sadly, people are saying 20" would look better than 19" with stock AWD height. I'd consider lowering, but.....

2. Read a lot about AWD wobbles and vibration when lowering via springs and coilovers, so I guess I'm stuck with stock AWD suspension.

What would you do if you were in my shoes?

Venerdi-zwinger is the brand of wheels. don't know about the rest. That's an old picture from Japan. You can tell its a right hand driver.

The wheel gap won't change from stock though, since the wheel height is the same, right? It's just bigger rim and thinner tire?

I think I will try 245/35/20-9 +38 and 285/30/20-10.5 +45 on stock AWD with no drop. Should be ok, right?

235/30/20 front and 285/25/20 rear would both have 25.6" diameter for your AWD best results.
Go to tiresize.com/comparison and you can play with different tire sizes

Thanks. Unfortunately, there are a lot of potholes here, so 25 profile probably won't work. Also, I was looking for all-season tires and there don't seem to be any in size 235/30/20.

It would be horrible if I had to keep replacing rims due to potholes.

Are you AWD? Any rubbing on full turns?
