Nice vsxx's! Please post more pictures if you can..[/QUOTE

Just heat the plastic and stretch it way from where it rubs. I'm running a 20x10 +15 on the front and mine don't rub. Here's some more pics from nopi a couple of weeks ago.

Just when I thought this thread was dead! Youre holdin it down..

Are you awd? You used to run the bbs reps, or was that someone else im thinking of?

You can't possibly be able to turn your wheel and go down a driveway correct? I fukd up my front fenders with 20x9 +30 with 235/35. How do you do it!!??

I had this exact same set up, lowered 2 inches, fenders rolled and never had an issue with hitting my fenders.

so i have a bit of a dilemma, im looking to buy some wheels for the summer, but they will be second hand.

I have a line on 2 different sets right now.

My car is a 07 AWD, stock height currently, but I do want to get the 30mm Front Sage Kit to get rid of the monster truck height

SET 1
Volk Progressive TE
19x8 +43 All around
235/35/19 continentals DWS installed (1 tire is no good, it separated, will require to buy a new tire)

SET 2
Vossen VVS083
20x9 +38
20x10.5 +45
235/30/20 and 275/30/20 (according to calculations this tire setup will have a 3.7% difference in diameter)

I do like the Volks more cause they look great and theyre forged, but theyre a little narrow at 8" and it would be a square set up

The Vossens are a perfect staggered fit, but Ill need to buy a new set of tires and they are cast wheel I believe (correct me if im wrong)

The Volks also cost half as much as the Vossens, before factoring in new tires.

Can I make the Volks look good with some spacers?

Because you have AWD those tire sizes for the Vossen will not work well. You need 235/35/20 and 275/30/20 to be closer match. If I were you I'd save the headache and go with the Volks.

I would (personally) pass on both due to sizing of the Volk (19x8 +43 is pretty weak in term of fitment) rims and the Vossen's older style/tires. You will end up wanting new tires for the Volks as well since your car is an AWD, its always recommended that all 4 tires are replaced, unless the other 3 are pretty new.

thanks for the feedback guys.

I am leaning towards the volks, as they would be an easier set up, and i would predict that there would be no issues with fitment as is. Asking price is 900 for them, some minor rash, no bends, centre caps are in good shape, theres no tpms sensors, no lugnuts, and i guess i would need a new set of tires. all in all i would be in this for a around $2500 if i also got some wheel adapters/spacers.

I dunno is $900 essentially too much for a set of Volks from 2005?

Why is it weak in terms of fitment? 8" too narrow and +43 offset makes the wheel stick out too far?

They don't look bad, but its your car, so do what makes you happy with looks and price. However, if you are indeed approaching the $2500 range, lots of other used rims/tires can be purchased for the price. There are Wes and Rays for sale in teh classifieds currently for around $2500. make offers to the sellers!

Normally wheel fitment "weak" refers to a more sunken in look similar to OEM fitment and "aggressive" is fitment towards the fender. For example, the stock fitment is 18x8 +45 which I don't think looked good on this car. The Volks are only 7mm more aggressive.

Thanks for the heads up, unfortunately I live in Canada, and well our dollar sucks to the US so that 2500 is more like 3500 before shipping!

If I got these, then would 15 and 20mm bolt on spacers be right to get me at least flush?

Yea bro I had bbs rep before but I wanted to go wider so I ended up going with some vsxx. My car it's RWD and its on air. People that always say that it can't b done r normally running massive tires hence they rub!

Oh, got it, I didn't think about the exchange rate.
15mm ad 20mm will get you close BUT.. i was referring to lip sizes and face appearance on the wider rims, not to mention it would look a lot better from the rear if you have at least a 9" rim back there. Don't mind me though...i'm just a bit picky

Kk another set just popped up in my area

Rays Gramlights 57xtremes

19x8.5 +38
19x9.5 +33
245/35/19 and 275/30/19

235/35 is a better ratio, but that set up is exactly a 1% diff front and back.

I wasn't sure about the offsets, but will these will fit with NO rubbing and rca's down the line?
