Anyway, the change of the aspect ratio of the tires interferes with this distribution of power. With staggered wheels, it is very hard to get the tire aspect ratio the same between the front and rear. Either the front or rear will have taller tires. The cars' computers are not programmed to compensate for the change.
The good thing is you can go non-staggered and still look good if you choose well. Some of our members put up with the vibrations. I wouldn't. No way. I don't have awd but I did do non-staggered for a while and I think the car looked really nice.

The problem is that the drivetrain of awd cars sends programmed power to all 4 wheels. I don't know what the ratio is for the GS, is it 50% front to rear?

we have members who run staggered on their AWD with no problems (afaik). also bmw, porsche, etc offer staggered setup straight from the factory for their AWD.
if you are planning on only doing 20s without dropping, it will look like a 4x4. if you plan to drop (via springs or coilovers), there are vibration issues (do a search in the suspension forum, and you'll see). so getting wheels is only part of the problem, you need to look at your modding from a larger picture.
so is staggered safe? do some research and make informed decision on what is best for YOU. we can provide the info, but ultimately you need to decide whether the potential risk is worth the trouble.

important thing is to make an informed decision. you've heard one side of the story, now you need to hear the other side.

I am debating on MRR HR3's for the GS. I was wondering if anyone had pictures of these wheels on a 3GS? Also if anyone had pictures of them in chrome. Would you guys have suggestions of anything with a similar look in that price range too? Thanks in advance!!!
