Does your GS drip water when the a/c is on?

sorry to bring this old thread back to life again guys
so i just did the check, open door...full a/c..etc
i noticed like 20 drops of water...then it stopped..
is that normal? is there anyway i can check if it is blocked?

Every car I've ever owned has dripped after using the AC. Every AC unit I've ever seen has a drain for condensation. ACs cause condensation! ACs work on the same basic principle that dehumidifiers work on... think about it.
Dripping car with AC is not something unique to the GS, or Lexus, or automobiles, or air conditioning.
I've never mucked with the recirc, I leave it on auto... and everything smells fine? So, what we're trying to say here is that if your car doesn't drip something is wrong - right? I'm not sure why recirculation mode would have anything to do with it though because mine makes a nice little puddle even when recirc is on.

Im so mad guys. Mine doesnt want to drip and my floor is soaked and to top it off i really dont have 3400 to spend right now on that crap.. What can I do. is there a diy?

Post up some pics please if your able to figure this out. This would make for a good FAQ since it seems to be coming more of a common problem.

Sometimes for me. I've never paid attention to the weather conditions as to when water drains and when it doesn't. As long as I do not get back that musty smell, I'm fine. I had a problem with the musty smell in the past, the dealer did something to fix it more than just replacing the cabin filter. I'll have to check back through my service records to see exactly what was done.

"Update"
Lifted the car and took off every possible cover but cannot find the drain line for the a/c to try and see whats going on. sucks but I am going to take it to a mechanic of mine who just quit working for lexus to see what he tells me. Ill keep you guys posted

I took my car in to Lexus, I have a 06 gs300 with 30k miles on it and 1.7 years out of warranty.. they did it for free no questions asked. All i had to do was throw in the "I have been a Lexus customer since Lexus came out," "How can a car so new with little miles, less than 9k miles a year." "I see were the quality of Lexus is going." True statements. The manager OK'd it

I had the same problem.
On my car, they replaced the evaporator. I tried to get them to replace the drain plug adaptor/connector while they had the dash and ac taken apart but they would not do it. They said they inspected it and unless it looks bad they cannot replace it. Geeeee, five dollar part and a zillion labor hours to take it apart and they would not do it. This was done a few weeks before my warranty was up about 8 months ago. There is a tsb for this musty smell and it is to replace the evaporator. Expensive fix out of warranty. They story I got was the angle of the original evaporator coils/fins does not allow the water to drain off freely and quick enough and it sits there and molds. The new one has more of an angle so they told me.

2006 Drainage
After the ordeal I went through, I figure I put in my 2 cents. I bought my 2006 GS300 with 45K on it. At 63K, I took it in for the 60K maintenance which included all the oil/filter changes, brake fluids and spark plugs along with visual inspections of AC, tires, brakes, etc. At 68K, I found my backseat floormats to be soaking wet purely by accident. I started to search frantically in the forums and came across TSIB L-SB-0016-10, HVAC Evaporator Drainage Block. So next day I took my car in and told my advisor this was the problem. My advisor gave me the regular, "well we can't be sure until we check it out, and it's more common with with the IS300 blah blah" and he advised me to call Lexus as well.
Later on in the day, he calls me back and confirms my suspicions and tells me it's going to cost $700 for the repairs with most of the labor coming from drying out the carpet. After reading other people's experience, I figure Lexus corp will probably cover 50%, so 350 out of pocket is not bad but still stings for a known manufacturer defect.
So that's how it was resolved. My advice would be if you know of manufacturer defect, especially since the 2006 GS is the first year of the new model, I would ask them to take care of it right away. There's nothing worse than finding a soaking wet floor mat.
