Default picking up GS430 in the morning

Been patiently looking for a Lexus sedan for the last 6 months or so. My wife is still driving her '94 SC400 that we purchased in '98 w/ 40k miles. Car is still dead quiet, solid and reliable so I figured a used LS or GS was going to be my replacement DD. I really thought the LS was going to be my choice until driving them, but after some lengthy back to back test drives, it was clear the GS was more what I was looking for. The LS just felt too soft, dated, and made me feel older than I am. Back to searching for nice GS's... I've been holding out for a clean car with reasonable miles. Finally found a local car that was pretty much exactly what I was after.

'06 GS430, Flint Mica/Black, 28k miles, all options except PCS. Michelin Pilot Sports w/ about 70% of tread left.

I will say I was ready to drop the GS from my shopping list after the first 3 cars I tested. Turned out they all had runflats which destroyed the feel and quietness on the interstate. After driving a couple of cars that had touring tires, it became apparent that tires can make or break this vehicle.

$33k. Not a spectacular deal, but of the dozen+ cars I drove, this was hands down the nicest and had a complete verifiable service history. I tend to keep cars for a long time and the extra few $ were worth it for peace of mind and a clean vehicle.

yep. I was looking for private party to save on tax, but everything I found was either modified or beat on. Was trying to find a clean stock one.

I don't think you can use Private party anymore to beat the tax. They changed the law, I belive it was on July 1 to tax PP sales now.

Yea, M/A usually have some nice, low miles GS430 in stock every couple weeks. I have an alert setup on Autotrader....
