When I'm in the GS, i just cruise slow and watch for potholes. She is on stocks for now.
I feel you...my wife put dents on the Sevas I didn't think possible.
She's getting better about watching the road but no way she is ever going to get expensive wheels.

Twice, I have come across articles where MRR was cited as using the the best casting process.
There are several of them. I can't name them all but one is pouring the metal into a mold (like pouring a glass of beer). Another is injecting the metal. There are a few others but some create bubles and impurities that weaken the final product. MRR does which ever one that produces strong wheels. Same one used by many high end wheel makers like Maya, Work and Lowenhart. They've been making oem wheels for over 20 years but now are into the aftermarket.
I'm familiar with a metal casting manufacturing process, I was just curious how they can claim that they use "the best process" (setup parameters, tooling, materials, etc.)?

They didn't make that claim. Others have.

hey Ice....heres a 5-star made by the same wheel manufacturer that i have on my car. They are Kartier Forged 3pc but i forget the name of em. they look pretty damn similar to the wheels "hapaj" is runnin' on his LS. thought you might like them!! these are mounted on a 300C with bags but you get the idea. 22" wheels with a 4" lip in the front and 6" lip in the rear......

That's hot stuff right there.
One of these days I'll get some 5 spokes on the ice350.
Either chrome, hi-polished or color matched.

I'm not a big fan of stock/customized 300C's unless it's an SRT-8 but I have to admit.... that 300C on bags with 5 spoke 22's looks good.

Cool, should look great on a dark GS.

I'm using 19" MRR GT1's on my IS350, happy with the quality, balance, look, ride/handling. Good wheels for the money.

Just heard from the dealer that the fronts have shipped out. That means next week for mounting. The more I look at these wheels the more I like them. Can't wait.

On another note, I thought these wheels were over 30 lbs but I put the rears on my kitchen scale and they are 27 lbs. The scale may not be super accusrate and 27 lbs is not super light but they are lighter than I thought. Fronts will be even lighter. Now I like these even more.

This is the Maya MRS.
Anyone notice the MRR GT5 is a serious knock-off of the Maya?
That doesn't bother me, so many wheels are knock-offs of some other wheel. Just thought it was a little interesting.

Nice looking rims. 5-spoke rims are always classic.
