i been going through some of the threads on the forum. i'm still a bit confused about the DRL light...is it just not a wedge bulb i can replace? like just buy a wedge LED bulb replace it in the stock DRL lights and it'll be LED? or do i really have to go through all the process with the module and stuff to get it LED? what about the turn signals, reverse lights? can i just replace it with a wedge LED bulb? what about fog lights?

yes - you can replace with a wedge LED. the only drawback is that during the day when your DRL runs, it does so with the high beam at low power as well as the LED. you do not get the effect of the LED until your light turn on completly. the fog light can be replaced with the standard 9005/06 (not certain which one) bulb, or HID kit. you can also switch your high beam out with LED, but you would lose that function.

don't get the wedge bulbs and the DRL (high beam) confused
for the LED to work for the DRL, you'll need the module and when the DRL is on, it's high beam bulb at reduced power, the tiny wedge bulbs do not come on
those are on only when your low beams are on

the turn signals can be switched to LEDs but you'll need to get resistors to prevent it from hyper flashing. reverse lights can be switched to LEDs too without any problems. i've been trying to change my rear turn signals to LEDs as well but don't know how to properly install resistors to get them to flash at the normal rate.

i did a lot of research and discovered that the low wattage of the LEDs makes the system think the bulb is burnt out. it flashes really quickly like any other normal car where one turn signal is burnt out. i didn't actually buy the bulbs and see it on my car yet tho. there was a youtube video i saw of someone's GS who had the LED turn signal bulbs and he said that they flashed too quickly.
bottom line: if you don't care that it blinks twice as fast as it normally should then go ahead with the mod. i would prefer to find out how to do it properly so that it blinks at the normal rate.
