Default protective wax coating tsb

hi all,
does anyone know exactly what tsb sb0083-08 entail? i see it's for protective wax coating but can't see what exactly it pertains to. i got a smokey micra granite gs350. the paint job on it's horrible. bird dropping stains from only a couple of hours from the time of dropping.
and i park in the garage too.

thank you all in advance.

doesnt sound like the typical top notch Lexus paint quality. I have heard people who are not Lexus people say that its very hard to match the Lexus paint quality

are you sure its for the paint?? the drivers' and passengers' front windows have a coating on them for rain run-off. could they be calling that a "wax"???

i have the same problem.....if bird droppings are on my paint fo more than a couple hrs it leaves an outline....and if i rub harder to get rid of the mark it leaves small scratches.......ive heard black cars are hard to keep clean but this is rediculous!....the black only looks really good at night or on cloudy days......im starting to miss my silver gs's

lexus paint is famous for being soft especially compared to other brands like bmw and mb and audi. i also notice droppings and such eat into lexus paint more easily than others. good thing is it's easier to polish the paint, but bad thing is if these stuff are left on the car for long enough (by long i don't mean a month) and say under the sun, then you probably get permanent paint damage

here's another story on is-f forum with picture

At the end of September, I will have owned my smoky granite GS350 for 3 years. I have had no problems with environmental fallout of any kind within that time. Regular washings, use a high quality wax and detailers spray for those in between wax times, and all is all good with my paint.

Great advice MadDawg, most people don't wash their cars often enough, I use only Zaino products to wax my cars, never a problem with bird droppings

Thanks!! Zaino - great stuff. I use Meguiars' NX2 and their Ultimate Detailers spray, their Gold Classic soap. My GS gets a loving wash at least 2 times a month with a micro fiber wash mitt, a waxing once every 3 months, detail spraying after every other washing. My wife's Tahoe gets very jealous when the GS is all clean and sparkly.

Do the routine and you should almost be safe. wash, clay, polish, wax.

Sadly I would park my GS outside sometimes when I visit my G/F and she had some newborn birdies (3) with a nest on the porch.

To make a long story short these newborn birds made sweet poop love to my GS. If I didn't catch the poop and the car was in the sun the damn poop did indeed eat through the clearcoat.

Its not so bad in indirect light but I can see in direct sunlight and it just makes me drained as the car was spotless.

I know Lexus used 202 for 2006 and early 07 and then switched to the new black color. Not sure.

I know that Bob Marley's "3 little birds" on my doorstep PISSED ME OFF.
