Did U fill it full at Phoenix? if U did than when U reach San Diego, just do a full fill up again and U can get almost the exact fuel that you used.

I don't feel the AC make any big dif when you just cruise.
Hey worker, I think the AC makes a difference whether or not you're in cruise mode

tromly, try it and let me know. It might make a 0.5mpg different which is not noticeable to me cause I get fluctuation about 1mpg anyway.

Technically it should make a dif cause it add a drag.

Lexus has been conservative with the estimated miles remaining at least since 2GS. Have driven 2GS 35 miles past the '0 miles' display and still had 1 gallon remaining. As for 3GS I think it leaves similar reserve in the tank when the display shows zero miles remaining, i.e. maybe 2 to 4 gallons still in the tank. In the 2GS you could however calculate the real fuel remaining pretty well by multiplying the miles driven with the average consumption (since the last refuel). In the 3GS I can only see the display showing miles driven since the engine was last time started, not since the last refuel. ...too bad.
