I lived in Germany (Bavaria) for almost 4 years. Best 4 years ever. I don't remember seeing any Lexus's though. Nice to see that they are getting some exposure there.

Hi,

yes, they invested a lot of money and opened huge lexus dealer forums
in nearly all regions across europe......
...they are already number one in services and customer care !!!

I think they are on the right way, only thing for many europeans missing
is a diesel engine as these are very popular.

But more and more hybrids coming along !!!!

Are the Germans respecting Lexus as similar level to Mercedez and BMW? I know that when I was there, they didn't really take Japanese cars seriously.

Hi,

of course we do !!!
Lexus, BMW, MB, Audi, Jaguar = same level.
But not like GM, Ford, Kia or other for example american cars
(as they have poor quality & high fuel consumption
.....we pay about 1,30 EUR per litre) !!!

Lexus did really good job here the last years and now more and
more cars on the road.

Hi,

these sidemarkers are integrated in the head lights, on top of
the amber reflectors and on each side in the tail lights.

The european version doesnt have these lights.....

In Europe lots of taxi drivers use MB/BMW/Audis and not the cheapest ones I must say...never seen Lexus though

When I was in Amsterdam, I've seen lots of 7 series BMW's and E-Class MB's used as taxis. I asked one of the drivers how they afford to drive a car like that. He told me they get special deals, basically if you are a taxi driver you get 50% off. Most likely Lexus in Europe does not have such deals yet.

Won't happen. It's like how in the U.S., most fleets are comprised of American cars like Crown Vics and Impalas. They would much sooner use Fords than Lexus, as they are so prevalent in Europe.
