^^^ Well, not sure about the rest of the country, but NY is getting rid of Crown Vics and is switching to Camry Hybrids.

lol Even our New York's finest (NYPD) are now driving Nissan Altima's Hybrid models.

and this,

Hi,

wine festival will start at the end of september

And....right nearly all taxis here are MB E-Class 220 Diesel as these
engines consume only little diesel and they have no problem within
driving more then 500000km......that's why.

And....right, our police needs some porsche to chase the other quick
cars as we have no speed limit on many highways
Further on all german public authorities only use german cars.

Sorry, cops need to drive something that looks at least slightly mean. I obey the law, but if a cop tried to pull me over in a Prius, I might have to dip on him out of principle.

welcome to the crew. I would try it out on the Nurburgring if you get a chance. A couple of laps on the green hell will make you bond with her more. You dont have to have the car sideways at 150 mph but it would be nice to feel her out in a safe and controlled environment

Wow! That's 155 miles per hour. That sounds like fun to go that fast on the autobahn...I've gone about 120 miles per hour once...

Hi,

yeah, but driving that fast is nearly only possible
in the evening or early morning, otherwise highways are to
crowded.
But sometimes it makes fun !!!

This is something really silly in the US, huge highways and freeways
and then a speed limit of 55 to max. 75mph or 85mph ?!?!

Yeah, but German drivers are a lot safer than American people behind the wheel. Much stricter laws in Germany, would you really want to see the US highways filled with people texting at 130MPH !!

Hi,

maybe because people in europe get really good education before
getting their driving license.

here about 20 hours of driving and about 1.500,00 EUR and not like driving
once around the block and to make a short test for about 30 mins. ?!?
In america it is to easy to get a driving license, maybe.....

Anyway, sometimes it is pure fun to make a high speed cruise on the
highway......that's life

Welcome to CL Sunshine! I'm located in heidelberg, so if you're ever down this area give me a holler, maybe we can take the GS's down to the Hockenheim ring (5 minutes from my home). cheers!
