Default Yellow HID help(Fog Light)

Ive been searching around and came across a few different brands. Can anyone recommend a good brand/pair? Most reliable? brightest? easiest to install?

Thanks in advance.

Xtreme HID

I've had this installed (3000K) for a couple of months now with no problems whatsoever.

Yo G-Man, your wrong about saying that the beam pattern looks crappy because of the cheaply priced HID's he purchased. The beam pattern has nothing to do with the bulbs, both bulbs are identical looking in size, the foglight housing is what creates the beam pattern. If you had a $300-$400 3000k kit it would have the same beam pattern as shown above.

The only difference between getting a cheaply priced $60 3000k HID kit and a $200-$400 3000K HID kit is the color of the bulb....

Most of the cheaper 3000K HID kits actualy are just a 4200k-6000k bulb with the glass on it tinted yellow to create the 3000K look.

The more expensive 3000k HID's actualy use a clear bulb and it's the salts and gases in it that create the yellow color, not the color/tint of the glass on the bulb.

Iocca, are you going to get a 3000K kit? Remember what my headlights looked like when I was driving behind you on the 101 heading to the pavillions? Well those are what the cheap 3000K kits look like. I've had mine for over a year now and the only issue I can see is that at the base of the bulb can see a little bit of whitish/blue light bleeding through if you look into the headlight houseing at just the right angle.

These $60 ebay specials are hit or miss. Sometimes the beam pattern look as good as the high quality HID, sometime they look like the picture above or even worst. What you are paying for in the high price bulb is the quality control. Comapnies such as Philips will reject bulbs that the Ebay special brand will just let it go thru if they even bother to test them at all.

G Man, Why do you think the bulb is what creates the beam pattern? It's the headlight/foglight housing that you put it in that makes the beam pattern, not the bulb itself. Didn't you read what I posted above?

Those cheaper bulbs you mentioned are actually the ones that produce the deep yellow color and are more sought after by people who want "yellow hid fogs".

The ones you say are "more expensive" with a clear bulb and salts mixed specifically to make the yellow color will not produce the deep yellow color. They will produce a yellowish color but nowhere near the dark yellow.

Price wise, they really should be the same. At least they are for the mobilehid kits...

go with the 60 dollar one, when u put them on u could care less. Put the rest of the money towards HID hi-beams or something.
