oil change at the Lexus Dealer
folks.
The Lexus provided the 1st complimentary oil change. Now I need to do my 2nd oil change. The dealer is charging over $200 for a complete service.
Is it possible to just get a basic oil change the Lexus Dealer?
if so, what is the average charge?
thanks

what model do you have? I have gs430 and it's very easy to do oil change yourself. Just buy your own oil full synthetic Mobil1 6 quarts and one filter. Total cost around $30. I believe dealer will charge you close to $100.

200 is probably 10,000 mile service which include oil change, tire rotation, ac filter, etc..if u just want oil change just go to toyota dealership.. its like 20 with dealership coupon

get the oil change at a toyota dealership. They rotated my tires and gave me an oil change in less than an hour for 50 bucks. You have to call to make sure they work on lexus cars though.

Sewell Lexus charges only $50.00 for an oil change vs. $150+ at ParkPlace!
I always bring my own Mobil 1 for the service; they only chrged me $30.00 for oil ring, oil filter, labor, disposable of used oil, car wash, and a loaner!!!

By default, they will quote you the service package. That sound like the 10k intermediate service, which has crap you don't need. If you specifically said you want just oil service, it is like 60 - 80 bucks, depending on your dealer. What surprises me is the fact Syn Oil cost 3 times that amount!
