Default Best iPhone solution for 06 GS430 w/Nav&ML

I have read many threads here and on other side, however I still do not have a clear idea which device (PAC, Vais or OE) is better as far as integration with the 4th Gen NAV screen. I would like to make sure that I am able to control and charge my iPhone 3GS while listening to it. I do not have XM in my car so it would be OK to use XM connector.

Please give me some info.

I use the Dice unit. It is good for my purposes. I like to control from the touchscreen, steering wheel, OR iPhone itself. If you control from the iPhone (which there is a trick to do so), you can also listen directly to Podcasts w/o having to put them in playlists. The touchscreen controls aren't as fluid as I would like, but you can choose to search by Playlist, Album, Songs, etc. and see the current song/artist on the screen.

I hope more people look at this thread and leave their opinions. I would like to hear some negatives along with positives. I want the integration to be as fluid as possible. I want to be able to use the screen as much as possible.

Also for those who have iphone 3G or 3GS do you have any problems with "Not made for iphone" message? What about charging?

VAIS is decent but not perfect; not sure if any interface is. My perspective of it's top three limitations are listed here (limited by Lexus or Vais?):

- when choosing an "artist" on iphone screen, you have a level of interaction that allows you to choose the album. In the Vais interface, when you choose an artist, all songs from all albums are lumped together (alphabetically?).
- It gets hung up occasionally, especially if it is your iphone that you interface with it and therefore need to plug/unplug frequently; there are a few ways to get it back working when it hangs.
- There is no convenient way to quickly "get down to the middle" of a large list of songs/artists/etc. You have to hit the page down button a boat-load of times.

All in all it is good; in fact it is one of the reasons why I bought another Lexus after trashing my first one...

I just ordered the Vais VML and the PS NAV/DVD/CD Override plug-n-play kit. I will post up some info next week after the install.

OE Lexus adapter + latest Nano seem to cause random freezing of the ipod every so often.

Classic Video seems to work just fine though.
