jdm kits are never cheap. there's a saying, you gotta pay to play. your best bet is to save up and get the kit you want. or buy a 2nd hand kit from someone who is selling (check the for sale forum on used parts and accessories).

Actually money is not really a big issue since my Lexus GS 350 '08 was hit by a school bus, yes...no kidding a big yellow school bus, so that's when I decided to do some mods while it is in the shop getting the repairs. You have been very helpful so far so I would like to ask you what you think of the VIP body kit. I'm actually kinda leaning towards that body kit. If there are any other body kits out there feel free to fill me in.

so you're a baller, eh?
there are quite a few body kits that are available, so really it all depends on your taste. i'm not familiar with VIP bodykit, is that a local made kit? if it is, it is more than likely a knock off of a jdm kit (edit: just saw dunnojack's post - balsarini is a good jdm kit)
a lot of the guys here will tell you to stay away from knock off kits, mainly because of fitment issues, and perhaps quality issues.
check carson toyota for jdm kits: http://www.l-tunedparts.com/index.php , and see which kit you like the most. be forewarned that getting a jdm kit will take a few months to order (custom made to order, slow boat from japan). do a search here on bodykits, you'll see what's other people have posted up regarding their rides.
btw, because you have a 2008 GS, you will be limited with the type of kit you can get. most kits available now is for the 2006-2007 model year. when you order your kit make sure that it fits the 2008 GS, or you will have lots of grief (unless you are willing to make the kit fit the car, which can cost a bit of money to do)

Here are the links (it's cheaper too by the way, I think the manufacturer is VIS Racing): http://www.directbodykits.com/Produc...=06-07LGSVIPFK and http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=390083639103

Thats all true about the price and also playing the waiting game. I have the Ings +1 kit (sides & back). Just for those 3pcs I payed about $2G. But it's been sitting in storage for the past 3 months cause my front lip is on a slow boat from Japan (Blitz lip).

i like the 1st one. but like they say it's just not my cup of tea.
to be honest. you should never listen to what other people say, their opinion is their opinion, you shouldn't base your choice off of everyone else, or else we'd all be the same... branch out and do whatever you like =]
if it were up to me? my car, my choice, i do what i want
might look ugly to others, but in my mind looks GRRRRR-EATTTTT!

Thanks man! I have a question for you though, what about these sites are they legit? (I believe the manufacturer for both is VIS Racing)
