Default ...no resonator...

I have the medallion and the K&N intake on my 07GS350awd for almost a year now, and not bad combo, but just not "sport sounding" enough for me, since we are soo limited on exhausts for our cars, i decided to customize last wk. Removed the resonator of the exhaust. The tanabe is axle back, keep that, but removed the stock resonator (older lexuses have like 2 to 3 resonators) theres only one....Funny thing is, i cut the resonator off and didnt have time to make the straight pipe, so basically i ran with an open exhaust for a couple of days!!! LOUD!!!! sounded like a V8 M3 on steroids!!! I actually liked it but didnt sound right for a lexus GS...Had no idea our v6s could sound that mean at all...Now w/ a temp/makeshift straight pipe connecting the exhaust, it doesnt sound crazy anymore, sounds kinda like IS350 w/ joeZ exhaust with cats...SOO basically u have the stock headers connected to the first pair of cats then more stock pipe connecting the second set of cats, after that the pipes merge to one before the stock resonator (thats what i removed). So now when the pipes merge i placed a straight (temp soft pipe) pipe that then connects to the tanabe medallion...Before the tanabe quieted after 3500rpm (to me never really loud at all, wich was a desapointmet), NOW still there to around 4500rpm and all the way till there its like around 2-3 "levels" louder ...Only down side is a bit o drone w/ givin gas w/ the windows closed...ill keep everyone updated, its only been a couple days...FYI, theres no raspyness...

ill take pics soon, but sound/video not sure how to...BTW, the hks for the GS is very diff than the one for the IS (meaning, the IS hks is louder/sportier sounding than the tanabe medallion one for the IS, BUTTT on the GS the hks is double pass thru, soo on the GS the hks is just as "quiet" as the tanabe medallion for the GS)....Manufactures make lines of mild to wild on the IS, but only mild on the GS!!! SOO hks (kinda knowned for louder exhausts) is still mild on the GS......
