Light on Lexus symbol on steering wheel

Is the light supposed to be on all the time? Mine is only on when I unlock the doors I think. Any way to put it on and leave it on at night while driving?

It's only on when you unlock. Once you start the car, it turns off. Not sure if there's a way to leave it on either.

you'd have to wire it into the center spot which stays on even while driving. Not sure I'd want the center of the wheel lit up while on the road, though.
