Yep, I parked the car under an oak tree, wish I have checked first..Anyways, my hood is ruined I think. I have tried washing the car with zaino shampoo, then used a clay bar to get rid of those stains. That did not work too well. I then applied some Quixx Paint Scratch Remover, that seem to work. However, when you look at the hood under a certain angle, you could still see those nasty stains I never knew acorns can be so deadly to clear coat
you can also try some more aggressive clay bars, that can make quite some difference and probably be the least damaging to the car. if it's still stains, i would try to go with rubbing compound too soon, you are removing paint layers unnecessarily
Maybe a stupid question, but where is the best place to go to get a car detailed? It seems like I blow dust off my car and it scratches the cheap clearcoat! Needless to say, mine has few scratches I would like to take care of.

what kind of scratches do you have? or are they more like swirl marks? for daily driven cars, scratches / swirls on the clear coat is almost inevitable, especially given the kind of soft paint on lexus
if you have scratches you want to take care of, polishing compounding and a buffer together with some nice pads is your friend. clean, clay, polish, seal, wax. and of course, what you use to wipe dust off the car is crucial too, otherwise the dust just effectively becomes a sand paper.
