I have a couple projects under way on the new GS, I need to know how to disassemble the rear des without messing up the rear shade. I would like to replace the !) Mark Levinson Sub with a JL 10w7 but need to asses the circumfrence of the opening, distance from the rear deck to the frame (so that the speaker doesnt slap on excursion).

Any and all feedback is appreciated.

1. doubt it will work

2. you need much more airspace, the 10w7 is huuuge lol, unless you're planning to cut a hole in the rear deck of your vehicle...

3. the face will slap, for SURE

You're right on the size of the w7, plus the length of excursion is LONG. I have a picture of a surface mount install in a 2GS but have to find it.

The 10w7 will be powered by a 500/1v2 with a HiLevel/LoLevel converter or an amp that accepts high level inputs.
