245/30 isnt even rated high enough to hold the weight of the car let alone a 235/30. Jesus . Stretched look? It must look like a hot rod with a small tire in the front and a huge one in the back

Stretch isn't that bad. If you have ever seen a 275/30-20 on a 20x10, its almost like that but not as stretched. People have different taste, he doesn't race it or anything so it wouldn't matter to him. I like it, might be my next tire size if my wheels in the front are 20x8.5, if not the 245/30-20 will be used on my next set of wheels which will be 20x9.

eBay has the knock off at a steal. It's made of "Flexable FRP Material" lol they misspelled flexible. $450 "Make offer" + 250 shipping.

OR

L-Tuned for $26XX + shipping

At one time I almost bought the OEM kit but opted for the Prussion Blue because of the front lip.

I'm new to this MOD scene so forgive my ignorance. What is your take on Flexible FRP materials? Is is even worthy to be on my GS460?

Thanks! Pictures anyways. lol. Drop has to be more then 2 inches because I can still see the fender well gaps on my car. I'm thinking around 3" but it does look nice to not see fender gaps!

For the price, its worthy. If you manage to break it some how, you won't be as sad as breaking or cracking a $500+ fiberglass lip.

Where did you hear that 245-30 profile was not sufficient to handle the weight of a GS? I'd like to review that information.
I was considering that size for my next tire purchase to eliminate the rubbing. Several people have 245-30 and I have never heard of any problems. I have had wheel and tire dealers tell me there is less protection with that size but no one mentioned load handling issues.

Specs from Falken:

Size 245/30ZR20
UTQG 300-AA-A
Load / Speed 90Y
Item # 28195008
Meas. Rim 8.5
Approved Rims 8.0-9.0
OD 25.8
Section Width 9.6
RPM 805
Tread Width 9.1
Tread Depth 10/32
Weight (lbs) 25.8
Max PSI (cold) 50
Max Load 1323

Weight of car specs:
Gross weight RWD 4,541 lbs. AWD 4,674 lbs.
http://autos.aol.com/cars-Lexus-GS+350-2009/specs

I believe the OEM 18" tires can handle about 1,6XX max load. The 235/30-20 Can handle about 100 less then the Falken 245/30-20.

Thanks for the info. This means a 245-30 has no problem handling the weight of a 3GS.....unless I'm missing something.

No replies... I remember checking the specs and the 245/30 came out more accurate then other tires compared to the stock 18" summer tires that come on our GS350s.

I'm glad someone revived this thread. I have this kit sittung in storage. After buying it I thought it felt kinda cheap or too thin....plus I really don't want a kit on my car. I like the GS lines as is. I just think I'll be making a mistake.
Then I see these pics of Long's car and it looks nice to me.
Maybe I'll give it a try.
