Just got my first GS 300 (06), I am having difficulties will connecting my storm to the Bluetooth in the car. The service manager tried to help but was unsuccessfully. The service manager was able to connect his T-mobile blackberry curve. I have a storm that was flash for Metro PCS. Does the service provider have anything to do with the connecting the Bluetooth. Please help. Thanks for your responses.

What OS version are you running on your Blackberry Storm? I had some issues connecting to my GS with a leaked OS and I heard people had issues original release .90. So far the most stable is v4.7.0.148. You can also wait for official v5.0 release.

If your storm is unlocked you might have some issues verifying your pin if that's the case google a Leaked Storm OS 4.7.0.148.

I have the Storm with the leaked OS and it works fine on my 07 GS350. The only issue I have is people saying they can barely hear me. I have this problem too when I'm just on the phone itself too so I don't know if it's the car or the phone.

My problem with leaked OS and Bluetooth was connection dropping and sometimes people complaining they can't hear me. Crackberry forums people complained their Storms kept loosing connections to the bluetooth headset.

Sidenote: As a long time blackberry user I'll be honest the Storm is a piece of trash, I've never seen a bberry have so many problems with lockups\freezing\bluetooth\keyboard issues. For me .148 has been the most stable but itching to upgrade to v5.0

get a new phone thats what i did. my samsung wouldnt connect and i got a new phone it and it works fine.

I am worried about getting a new phone for this very reason. I am still rocking a razor . yes a razor. I usually only use the cell phone while I a in the car so I rarely ever have it my hands. I am not a huge text freak and I am no time at work to look at te internet on my phone. every time I go in to make the switch to a new phone I walk out with nothing. If it aint broke dont fix it I guess

For those of you having the problem with people hearing you while on bluetooth might try this. It helped me with my Tour in GS350 and my wifes RX400h.

As far as the bluetooth volume I found a solution that seems to work after hours reading blackberry forums. First you need to get into the Service menu. Do this by going to Display and then pressing in the upper left hand corner followed by the lower left hand corner and repeat until the service menu screen appears. In the upper right corner of the service menu you will see a menu button. Press the menu button and it will take you to a screen that has a few options. One of them is Bluetooth. Press the Bluetooth option and raise the outgoing call volume to 4 or 5. doing that seemed to solve the problem for me. I cant remember if the car needs to be in the ACC position or started. 148 is not leaked. It's official...

Official .148 was released by RIM for Verizon\Bell\UK Storms but his case because he has an unlocked Storm on MetroPCS I doubt "Official" version will work.

FYI, there is absolutely NO DIFFERENCE between leaked OS builds and "Official" OS builds. On another note I have .148 on my Verizon Storm and it works perfectly with my 06 is350.

I had no issues with the OS out of the box and since I have updated it twice I havent had any issues with mine.
