well you know what this means...

everyone with anodized wheels, go and put a big sign on your dashboard that says 'do not wash'

would you trust them to roll your fenders after that?

could a rim shop repair the finish on these lips?

if it's anodized, nope i don't think they can be repaired. i have yet to see a US shop that can do anodize on the lips as good as japan. i know a wheel guy and he also said the same. once they are damaged, they are damaged

there is always the option to just fully polish out the whole lip to bare metal and keep it that way, but the finish will be different and a lot of polishing will be needed throughout the life of the wheel coz' there aren't any protection on the lips anymore. i had polished lips on my hre before with no clear, it was a pain to keep clean and shiny

Thanks for all the input - I am pretty pissed off, and I will definitely give the dealership some ****. But whats done is done - I dont think they are gonna replace my wheels. I will try to polish the wheels and let you know how it turns out.

well it depends on whether they want to do it right, they should get you new wheels. but of course it's always a great debate with them...

good luck!
