where were you last week my friend?

I just replaced the CR1632 battery in both remotes this past weekend for our '07 GS350 b/c I got the 'remote low battery' message last Thurs. Needless to say, they weren't as easy to find as the battery for our GX remote. Only took four stops (Target, Eckerd, Rite Aid, Walgreens) before I reluctantly went into Radio Shack and bent over for $4.99 each

Had I been prepared, I would have purchased them off ebay w/ free shipping but didn't want to take any chances w/ the dash warning light on already...

Very generous of you to offer those up for others

That is nice and generous.

Like BurgBoxstr, I too purchased 2 new CR1632 just last week, $4.99 each at Radio Shack. Only if you would post a week earlier.

I am looking to help out those who don't have a spare, I.E. both key fobs are dead and can't find one or make it to the dealer. If you have one that works then you have plenty of time to find a replacement. I will have them Monday or Tuesday

Pack of 5 batteries, less than $10 shipped. Good to have some spares in the house. This place is really good for these small button-type batteries. Not good if you need the battery now...though he ships first-class and they do arrive in just a few days.

Just so you guys know, even with a DEAD battery it is still possible to start the car.

I believe it's outlined in the manual. You can still start the car by holding your key right against the start button area. The only thing the battery does is amplify the signal or operate the RF buttons on the remote.

Nobody reads those things any more these days! First reaction is to go ask somebody else on a forum about how to use what they bought.
