So u paid 240 for 5500 k bulbs. For 140 less u could of had GARAX or xenon depot 6k bulbs. Did 140 bucks worth the tiny bit white color?

personally? i'd be more confident in brands like piaa, philips, osram

i have seen a lot of cheap bulbs, their quality and results aren't impressive

K'spec makes GARAX bulbs (http://garax.jp , http://www.kspec.co.jp) Its a Japanese company. Not trying to defend the brand, just because I have the bulbs, its just I trust Japanese companies more than Taiwanese knock offs.

I have 6k Garax bulbs, and although the color is nice, visiblity is horrible. If I didn't have my HID fogs, it would be difficult to see. I mean, I've driven with worse visiblity bulbs, but for function and form, I'm sure these or the 6k Ultnions are the best. I'm just waiting for someone to inport the 6k ulinions over to the states.

might be a bit off topic. But if I wanted to replace the bulbs due to wear on a 06 GS3, where can I get the bulb from? I'm looking at Xenon depot and it looks like kits, and fogs?

Help?

Thanks

I have experienced this as well. Personally if you want brightness and white, don't go over 5500K. That is about where the downward slope happens for brightness.

ebay sounds about right. I'm just replacing OEM's not looking to spend that much on bulbs. BUt looking at Xenondepot, and other websites, am I getting this right? D4S 35W with a 6K or whatever K, but as long as the wattage is 35W then I'm safe? Safe in the regards that I'm not risking melting anything right?

I'm done with the days of changing my bulbs every 5 months because I fried or melted the socket.

if you want oem, stay with 4300k. 6000k is blue and you lose usable light, at the same time paying more.

oem wattage is 35w d4s. look for good philips d4s 4300k oem bulbs and you are good. one time i saw a set going for like 80 bucks on ebay
