About to purchase a 07-08 GS-350

Yes, cold is a major contributor. But dealer fixes for many rattles are temporary in nature. Several of my rattles came back a year after dealer fixed them once the cold hit again...

You know, this is starting to get more difficult. Because now I am tossing around the GS350 and now the IS350.
It seems I can find the IS with lower miles for around the same cost of the GS with more miles. And a year newer on the IS.
Is $28-30k a good price for a GS350 with 60-70k of miles? One has ML and one doesn't and both are CPO'd.
I really want to try and find one that is CPO with around 40k of miles and that price range that is CPO'd as well. I see them at some dealers far away, but not near my home town.
What is your opinion on this? Is this car still very reliable for repairs, and maintenance even with that high of miles? Shoot, even for near that same price I could have a LS430, but it's too big for me IMHO.
Since I have never purchased a used car, and this is my first time (I don't want to take the first year hit anymore), I am a bit unfamiliar with this.

Does the ES have rattles issues too because i'm in the market for a car too. Franckly, i've learned so much from Lexus in the forum and some issues do bothers me, but i'm limited on choices: lexus or infiniti.

check for dash rattles and make sure theinterior is rattle and buzz free. Also make sure that the car is CPO and will have any noises and or rattles looked after if they arise. The issue is that the car is freakishly quiet and you will hear every little thing. Even the wind as muted as it is will become more evident at times. You will love the car and the service quality. I think the CPO route is wise
