I am excited to check it out. You have great taste as I can see from your current set up so I am sure the next set up will be no less classy.

I just filed down another millimeter or so but filed a screw down a bit to far and it popped out with its sleeve. I managed to get it back into place but I am done messing with it. I know I remove the plastic fender lip but I think it looks good and may even make the car look an extra mm lower

I plan on taping the rear quarter panels before I start doing anything as a guide to when to stop. Gotta look at it again and see how to shave it as much as I can and still keep the lining in place.

Thanks for the compliment!

Hey man I just speak the truth. I actually ended up taking my car into a shop today and having the fender lips trimmed on both sides. They also popped out the screw I jacked up , tapped a new hole with a small drill and put in the exact same screw ( they had some on the side from all of the fender mods they do most likely). In the end the fenders look trimmed but not man handled. I will keep my ears open and take it back if needed, but I think I should be good to go. I m pretty sure that this 500 tread wear rating is worth all of the drama.

I hit a bump in the highway so hard my head hit the roof of the car and I had a slight hint of rub so I shaved down the rear fender brackets/ support piece to allow more clearance. I am crossing my fingers but I think I nailed this time. Then again thats what I said the last time

Thats why when I took it for fender mods I demanded that we shave and trim rather than roll the fenders. I have done amazing things with elbow grease and a metal file. I have filed down the inside lip of the rear fender by at least 5 mm and the bracket I probably removed/ filed 3mm of the bracket. I didnt hear anything this morning so I am hoping that it did the trick. I will admit though that I have been driving around trying to get the thing to rub as much as possible. So when I even did have the rubbing it was only induced by a bump and a speed that sent my head into the ceiling of the cabin of the car.... not normal driving to say the least

yes shaving is definitly the way to go on these cars. the paint is too thin to roll.

I was a bit concerned when the owner of the shop pulled out a waiver for fender rolling. I am glad I didnt do the roll. shave is more laborious but more controlled and can be done in baby steps
