I was cutting plastic out of the wheel well and trimming the bumper bracket before i put 20 miles on it i was told 22s wouldn t fit by everyone, they lied i hadn t even seen it before! anyway alot of the guys they hate it you can go look at the threads of them commenting on the heavy hitters gs and they love the car even though the entire wheel well has been cut out shaved down and cut off and it has 22s and rides like a go kart but never the less it looks ridiculous!
ya im the same way, making them fit aint the problem. its bending them and loosin air and gettin flats that kills me.

i do tinted front window in every ride I have, so tinted fronts, driving in rain at night = smashing pot holes = you better run the cheapest set of tires known to man so its cheap to replace when you get babies.

after a while you cant even repair the rim anymore, after you repair it 2-3 times they become soft as butter and basically are worthless, that was my experience anyways.

i still want to run 22s on the new lexus I get, nothing like rollin 22s with a big lip. the asanti elts are ****in bad ***.

Too big for a 3GS, looks like a Luxury Tonka car. I could see it fly on SUV's like an Escalade, Range, Denali etc. But not on a Lexus GS. But its whatever you like that matters most.

damn, my gs just turned into a civic...i think i got screwed on this deal. lol

honestly, i think 21's are the best looking on our car. the only problem is that they do not make tires that will fit without major modification, otherwise that is what i would have gone with. 22's just don't give you enough rubber to protect the wheel, especially in an area such as the dc metro that does not have the best roads. i have a picture of my wheel in 22" that shattered on 495. guy had it on an audi a8 with a 20 profile.

If you get the right size tire for a 20" wheel, your still running a 30 series tire.

Let me get this straight.
Shaving balljoints, bending wheels, losing air and getting frequent flats and tearing your fenders apart....all of this is alright??!! Just for the pleasure of running oversized 22's?
Am I missing something?

I ve been riding 22s for 3 years with a 30 series tire through dc and baltimore(cautiously) and i ve never had a problem, not that it can t happen however you can bend a stock rim with a 45 series tire too! As for shaving ball joints I don t know to each his own ice350's cars are nice I little to conservative for my taste we don t have to worry about running over alligators up here so a 30 series tire is cool with me! and if your worried about bending rims get them insured at 2k a pop best believe that extra $15-20 a year is worth it! And another thing the car comes with 17s so if 22s are oversized 20s arent
