it still rides great not as forgiving over bumps and rough roads but that was to be expected

I just think they are too big.
To make them work a bodykit is absolutely required. Also need conservative offsets so that it can be lowered past the edge of the tire....which also reqires fender mods.
Just sticking 22's on a 3GS just doesn't work.

how close is the 245 tire to the balljoint? can you run a 255/30 up front?????????

on my gs i had 245s and i had to shave the balljoint a hair, this was on a 2000 gs. just wondering if i can get away with running the 255. i bent up my 22s with the 245 at the front, destroyed them. the roads are very bad!

Body kits aren t my style , my offset is fairly aggressive considering, and the wheels are tucking inside the modified fender its working for me I love it and wouldn t do it any other way!

yes lots of cars do this to fit big wheels, its not un heard of, you have to shave off some extra threads after the cotter pin.

ya the 245 will clear, i tried a 255 from my rear once and i would have to run a big wheel spacer to get it away from the balljoint nut... i guess its pretty much the same front suspension measurements [spindle height] as the 2nd gen gs my old 22s sit flush at the front, any further out would look stupid.

Its all good i like big wheels myself alot of these guys on here don t really like 22s on the gs however i bought my car 2 years ago drove it from the dealer to the cribb and bolted 22s on it before i even showed anyone my new toy. I was cutting plastic out of the wheel well and trimming the bumper bracket before i put 20 miles on it i was told 22s wouldn t fit by everyone, they lied i hadn t even seen it before! anyway alot of the guys they hate it you can go look at the threads of them commenting on the heavy hitters gs and they love the car even though the entire wheel well has been cut out shaved down and cut off and it has 22s and rides like a go kart but never the less it looks ridiculous!
