Are Run Flats std on all Gen 3 GS's?
I'm thinking about buying a used GS and need to know about those that have run flats. The ones that do (if not all) - do they come with a spare (doesn't make sense that they would)? Is there a space in the trunk for any kind of spare?
Thanks!!
Thanks!!

Standard tires are normal, not run-flat.
If you get run-flat tires, the package may or may not include a spare. Mine did.
By the way, the run-flats provide horribly harsh ride. I got rid of mine after just a couple of weeks of teeth-rattling ride.

Bought my GS 300 that came with run flats. Has a spare in the trunk under the lining. I've noticed the ride is a little rough but not sure if it's the run flats or the low profile tire.

I think part of the ride harshness is the the Lexus choice of Bridgestone runflats as the original equipment tires. Reviewers at Tire Rack give them consistently low marks for noise and ride quality. So far my experience with the Bridgestone RFTs on my GS450h is equally disappointing.
I have noticed that a number of reviewers have given high marks to Michelin Pilot PS2 or Pilot Sport A/S Plus run flats. They seem to be less harsh and noticeably quieter. My next tires will be Michelin run flats.
Depending on the options installed on the GS, you may not have room for even a doughnut spare. My GS450h has the optional Active Power Stabilizer Suspension System and between the electronics for that and the Mark Levinson audio system there is no room for a spare of any kind. So, I have run flats...

can anyone comment on the difference between the ride of 17" RF with 50 series and a 20" non-RF with 30 series? about the same or will the 20" tire still be better than a 17" RF? TIA

ditto here. Have just changed out the factory Dunlop Sport 2050 RunFlats at 32k miles and had put on a set of Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus and my GS became a Lexus again with all the ride and handle qualities. The Dunlops had little tread left when got changed out and the car would go anywhere it wanted. I sometimes had to grab the wheel to stop it veering off the lane, especially at lower speeds. The steering feedback was also overly exagerated, let alone the noise and vibration. I even took the car to a suspension shop to get the alignment looked at and they told me to change tires first.
