Sounds to me like everyone should keep the OEM exhaust and have some new tips put on. It will keep it quiet and yet look better. Why put another exhaust if you dont want more sound out of it or performance?

^^^agreed. i'm thinking of getting the invidia mid pipe if that ever comes through, but if i'm going to get exhaust, more hp would be the determining factor. i cannot see spending 800 - 1k or more for a 2 or 3hp gain and a bit of noise and/or looks. same goes for the mid pipes; no sense in having something just for the sake of saying you have it. in terms of 'performance' upgrades, there has to be a noticable benefit.

I just want shiny pans with nice Ti tips. Plus I rather bolt on then to hack off my oem exhaust in case I ever make it "stock" again.

I still think we are making more noise than hp. To each his own but I am really enjoying how comfortable the cabin feels with the super quiet Lexus stock system

i never really believe much in getting extra power on cars like these with exhaust or intakes. 3-6hp difference is almost just like a standard variation. to get significant power and it will be a lot of noise

I don't understand people when they say they want something quiet but yet have a growl. Its contradicting themselves.

I wouldn't start any R&D if I was this company based on this thread its a waste. Cut the tips off and put some "shiny" new ones and call it a day.

I like the sound of my car. Its a V8 and I wanted to hear it Performance portion of it was for the S/C to allow the car to breath better. But the sound is more what I was looking for and the car cold use more IMO.

There isn't much to R&D to begin with. Build it, dyno it, drive it.

exact sentiments here...not a full system....just some nice clean chrome tips...not loud. don't like the stock system with the tip screwed onto the muffler. that's weak. plus don't wanna spend alot on exhaust.

If you can make one that doesn't drone at cruising speeds and sounds like an AMG exhaust, my wife will let me buy one in a heartbeat.
