ISS Performance Starts R&D for GS exhaust
Hello CL,
We are starting the development of a full exhaust system for the GS. As we were sitting today talking about what we were going to do, we really didn't know what should come out of this. So we are asking for you guys to tell us what you want to see in an exhaust.
What we are looking for is if you would want it to be loud and powerful or produce power but keep the sound under control. Also if you guys want an Axle Back option or just the a full exhaust.
All feedback is appreciated. Also if anyone want to post pics of what they have and what they like and dislike I would really appreciate that.
Thanks
Janoy

more than likely you will get 50/50 replies. some people will say they want power and loud, but some will say they want quiet and prefer the look. i guess those who want power would want cat back for more performance, whereas those for look would settle for axle back since they are usually cheaper
to me i never look for performance upgrade on my gs, just doesn't make sense. so axle back, price, look, and quietness is more important to me. it doesn't have to be dead quiet, but for sure i don't want any kind of droning, especially at around 2k rpm cruising speed

what i like to see is an axle back with OVAL TIP and canister for sportier sound and looks. similar to greddy sp1, ings lx sport, or lexon.. if this actually happens, i would be the first in line to get one

-axle back
-more power
-tips that fill out the cut outs on the bumper
-need a exhaust that has a good low sound
-something you can hear but not get annoyed with
I too love how you can hear a G35 but its not annoyingly loud.

considering I took my Tanabe off today ( supposed to be very quiet) because I was sick of the droning I would say remember some want it minus the droning, although I am pretty sure thats not going to happen.

I say do a full cat-back system with a oval tip.......we need to get more sound out of our car. But not like ricer sound. If you can make it that way I will be the first one in line for it. And make sure that there is an AWD version of it......because some exhaust only fit the RWD.......

I would say a quad exhaust that is soft and not droning. I see a lot of people complaining about how loud their exhausts are these days. I think a lot of people are liking the g35 sound. It would be great to have an axle back option to save a little more money also. I love the tips on this car!!! Maybe a little rounder. Reminds me of Porsche.
