does it ever stop?
I took the car on a top-speed run today, i don't know of it's just me, but has anyone ever found a point where the car stops accelerating? (GS430) DAMN this thing just doesn't stop climbing!! i had to stop at 140 because the thing was hitting construction the next few miles down and i could see cars in the distance

Top speed on the GS is in the 150's I think. You were pretty close to V max, although at that speed the time needed to get from 140 to lets say 155 would take a lot longer than 75-90 mph.

Been there done that!!!
Mine fuel gets cutoff at 141, so my GS tops out at 140 MPH...
That really sucks, b/c I know some CL members GS can go upto 150+ MPH!!!
I wish I did not have to get raid off my SupraTT (550WHP, chicken out at 186MPH) or ZX7RR (178MPH) when I got married, but again I might not be here today bytching about it!!!

i went 248km/h in my old S13 Silvia lol speedo maxed out at 180 but i had speed cut removed when i had a chip installed, so i had to work out the RPM @ 100 in 5th and then do the maths...

GS430 and GS460 only go 155 mph, as they are electronically governor limited. The speedo always gives a bit higher reading that what is the real speed, maybe around 5-7 mph too much at that speed. For a pretty accurate speed pls check the speed from the navigator. Comparing the speed at navigator display and at the speedo, I recon that at speeds around 125 mph, the speedo exaggerates the real speed by some 5 mph. Speeds over 140 mph are no problem for GS, it is still handling truly well and is very stable at breaking.....

Yeah there isn't too many places near here where we can reach those speeds. I once did 147mph in Jersey with my Maxima, but the most i've hit with the GS is 115 or so. Too much traffic in Philly.
