Default Correct tires for Vossen 20x9 rim on 2006 GS300

I recently had Vossen VS083 wheels installed on my car and I believe the tires may not be correct. The pirelli 275/30/20 looks kina ok on the 20x10.5 wheel o the rear, but the 245/30/20 looks like it may be too low for the 20x9 in the front.

Could you please let me know which is the correct tire size for a 20x9 vossen vs083 on a 2006 GS300. Would 245/35/20 be a better fit?

1st off congrats on your 083's!!! did you go with the silver finish or the black windows? Silver for me...mine will be here next week....finally!!! i could swear Derrick set me up with the 245/30/20's. i'm not running staggered. 20x10.5 in the rear should look nice. rominl or someone will chime in on your correct tire size. take care.

BKE420 thanks. I have the silver with black windows. I will get around to posting a pic soon. Are you going to lower yours. I'm thinking of using NF210s, but need to confirm the tire size first.

I to have the 083 (all silver) with 245/30/20. Just haven't had a chance to put them on the car yet. Hopefully I get a chance to put them on this weekend. If I do I'll take some pics. I'm on NF210.

in tire sizing the middle # is a percentage of the wide of the tire so 30% of a 245 is going to be smaller than 30% of a 275 thus giving you a taller tire on the rear than you have on the front a 245/35/20 would be closer

Thanks for the response. My biggest concern on the front is that I have about an inch between the ground and the edge of my rim. Is this normal? I'm thinking I may need a 255/30/20 or a 245/35/20.

that is what you get when you get a big wheel...that is the correct spec tire 245 35 will be more likely to rub

who put on those tire spec for you? they are incorrect

you either go 245/30 and 275/25

or you do 245/35 and 275/30 (which is out of spec and more likely to rub)

I don t think they make a 275/25/20 they make a 285/25/20 so if you want to stay with a 275/30 and a 245/35 to properly stagger fit i have 22s staggered with a 245/30/22 fr and 285/25/22 rr with the right offset the front won t rub

Here are some pics. Iii'm running 245/30/20 front and 275/30/20 rear. Are these the correct specs and should the front tire have more meat on the bottom?

you need a 245/35/20 on the front or a 285/25/20 on the rear the later would probrably be better! The front tire clearly has a shorter side wall you have plenty of room you should only rub when the steering wheel is turned all the way left or right it will hit on the inside of the wheel well closest to the engine compartment, promise!
