i smoked a 96 mustang gt in my 430 from a dead stop, and from a roll. I was pretty impressed with the gs. The Mustang had full exhaust intake and a remap.

Hardly surprising. The 1996 Mustang V8 only had 215hp. Even with those mods, its massively underpowered compared with your GS. Making V8s with 215hp was totally symptomatic of Ford's malaise in the mid 90s. The V6 was even more pathetic churning out 150hp.

hhhhhhhhhhh ; I beg to differ =]. I had your same perception, but day after day, my opinion changes. I know that a US version GS would probably have the upper hand, but ours aint a donkey cart.
I know that for -20k Dollars, you could have gotten a G37 Sedan, which is a much more superior "sport sedan" but after all, it aint a "Lexus"

You are right! If you look carefully at my video, you will notice ( especially in the final race ) how much ground I lost between shifts.

By the time the G35 gets to his 4th gear, I've already shifted 6 times!!!

Need to see comparo GS430 vs. GS460 vs. GS450h from a standing start! Have seen a Japanese video on 450h vs. 430, in which 430 leaves the line much quicker but the 450h catches up (and passes) quickly thereafter.

430 leaves the line much quicker? i find that hard to believe. the 450h has instant torque from the hybrid battery, and should be faster off the line.
