Default Aftermarket hids problem?

I installed some after market bulbs on my 07gs,and the lights would come on for 5 sec then go off. do i need to change the ballast also? i put my factory bulbs back in to make sure that my ballast is ok and they are good.....did any 1 have this pblm? its 8000k bulbs only i installed on factory ballast...

You should not have any problem as long as you have the D4S HID Bulbs.......The ballast should be good. What brand of aftermarket HID bulbs did you get? Maybe is the Bulbs problem. And try to switch it left and right to see if it is any better. Hope this will help.

I PM'd you back. But I think your problem might be the wrong bulbs. For 07 GS we need to get some D4S Bulbs. No wonder the bulbs don't work.

Yup, wrong bulbs buddy. D4S is lower voltage (vs D2x) and that's what you need.

issues with these bulbs and HID kits is getting way more common. I am upset because I wanted to this as a mod but am really looking to simplify my life when it comes to the car

It is simple as long as you do some homework. Barely if that, just make sure it's a D4S bulb.
