![Question](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
i've used the search function and found that many think it can be done. but i need some help with part numbers and exactly which parts i need to buy for this upgrade? i called carson toyota and the parts guy on the phone wasn't helpful and wouldn't tell me any part numbers. he said he couldn't give them to me since my gs wasn't an '08+, huh??? not mad but want to figure this out so i'm turning to this forum. i'm thinking i defenitely need these:
1) '08+ front bumper
2) new clips
3) inside chrome bezel (don't know what other name to call it)
4) new fog light assemblies (maybe?... will old fogs fit?)
5) grille
is there anything i'm missing or don't need from this list? also, does anyone know these exact part numbers so i can be sure i'm ordering the correct parts. thanks in advance for the help.

I wouldn't go out of my way to replace the bumper. I have a clear bra on it and I would not want to have the added expense of replacing that as well

well, this is why i'm hoping someone can help with the actual part numbers. because on carson toyota, it seems that the front bumper is only $300 bucks. The remaining items aren't much either. so i'm thinking it's approx. $450 dollars in total on parts. but i don't know this for sure because i'm unsure on the part numbers.
now my buddy was going to paint the new bumper cheaper than havin to resand then paint my existing bumper. so throw in another $150 bucks in cost to the resand and prep on the existing bumper and it now is only about $300 dollars for the upgrade in comparison to redoing my current bumper. so to me, $300 dollars doesn't seem like alot of extra money for the new front end. thanks again.

Did they say why there would be a big labor cost for sanding? I don't see why it would have to be a large sanding job... there isn't any need to remove all of the old paint from the bumper clean is there? It's not like the paint is terrible, there can't be any corrosion since the bumper cover is plastic so it's not like it's going to rust out from underneath the new paint. Just a rough sand job, reprime and then paint... but what do I know?
I want to have mine redone someday. I don't have any problem with the style of the 06 bumper, I can hardly tell the difference between it and the newer ones. I wonder how much work it is just to remove the bumper cover? You could probably save a bit of money removing it yourself, sanding it really nice in an afternoon and just dropping the part off for painting.
