I recently had oem tpms sensors installed in my wheels however the light continues to come on the pressure is fine and no error codes are throw on the computer that my wheel shop used leaving them to believe that none of them are damaged, they reset and all. Then I get home park the car and when i leave again the light comes back on the shop made the suggestion that the change in overall diameter may throw the system off does this sound like bs... to anyone?

The TPMS in this car is a direct measurement, to my knowledge, and not indirect like previous systems which measured a difference in the number of revolutions a tire makes (tires that lose air will lose some diameter, blah blah).
So yeah, this sounds like BS to me. It shouldn't matter if you have the sensors in your spare tire in the trunk as long as that tire has the correct pressure.

tpms is a measure of the tire pressure, it has absolutely NOTHING to do with revolution, etc... your car can be standing still and if it's leaking air it will throw a light
my gs has 20s with stock tpms, and my ls460l had 22s with stock tpms and they never had problems

Well hang on a second. You stated that you 'recently had OEM sensors installed' but are these another set of OEM sensor or the originals that were in your factory wheels that were working fine before? If they're another set of sensors, you'll need to get them linked to your car in order for them to work. Wheel shops don't typically have the ability to link TPMS sensors to your car.

no i purchased another set from lexus instead of tearing apart my factory wheels the wheel shop has the tool to program the new sensors and they even had the light out on the dash it just keeps coming back on, pretty upseting considering the new sensors ran me almost 300 dollars with a discount

Out of curiosity I tried switching the TPMS switch under the glovebox in my car today and starting it, and I didn't get any TPMS pressure warning light or messages. Is this how everybody's 06s work?
Fearing that maybe my whole TPMS system was just screwed, I switched it back and let a bunch of air out of one of my tires and started the car again and got the low pressure warning. Added air again, and the warning went away.
So it's looking like at least with my car, if you have the switch set to a position that has not be programmed for any TPMS sensors that the TPMS warning light is deactivated. Which is good news for the spring when I put my new wheels on as I could care less about having the car tell me that my tire pressure has been steadily low for who knows what amount of time until the threshold is met.
